Technical Project Manager

A leading systematic trading firm’s technical project management office is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join its team in Singapore. This role sits within the firm’s in-house trading systems environment, working closely with engineering leadership on the technical roadmap. It’s a more senior, hands-on version of a standard PM role, ideally suited to someone who has been a software engineer themselves and understands how the underlying systems work.

Responsibilities:

  1. Own and drive technical projects end-to-end across engineering teams building in-house trading systems
  2. Act as the technical bridge between engineering teams and business/trading stakeholders
  3. Lead and mentor within a small team of technical project managers
  4. Partner closely with senior engineering leadership to prioritize and sequence the technical roadmap

Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience as a software engineer, with a strong technical understanding of how trading systems work
  2. Proven team leadership / people management experience
  3. Background at a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or other buy-side/in-house trading technology environment (not banks or sell-side)
  4. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

A highly competitive compensation package is on offer. The firm is looking to move quickly with the right candidate.
