SARTRE GROUP
OUR CULTURE
Sartre is a growing London based Search firm that also recently opened an office in Williamsburg, New York. Headquartered in Shoreditch, we offer a casual working enviroment that promotes collobatation, development and excellence.
We truly believe the culture of our company stands us apart from our competitors and do not see ourselves as a traditional headhunting company. We aim to provide a platform for highly motivated people who want to take ownership of their own work in a supportive environment. Our dress down policy, flexible working hours and KPI free environment provide a refreshing change from the rigid, corporate environments commonly found in the Executive Search and Staffing industry.
We value collaboration and work together as a collective to continue to try and raise the bar. Inter-team and cross-team collaboration are actively promoted in the business with the common goal of improving ourselves as recruiters and always striving for excellence.
We are currently in the process of diversifying the markets in which we operate and are seeking ambitious individuals who want to be part of our growth story.
THE SERIOUS STUFF
Founded in April 2013, Sartre has established itself as a key partner to clients in our core markets (Quantitative Finance, Technology, Big Data, Compliance & Legal). With year-on-year growth in turnover, there is now a great platform for ambitious, like-minded people to join us on our journey.
Around 30-40% of our business is secured via retained mandates with small to medium-sized companies. At Sartre, we take a truly global approach to recruitment, and all of our employees are exposed to global mandates. Currently, 60% of our clients are located in North America, 20% in London and Europe and the remaining 20% across the APAC region.
Our approach to recruitment is underpinned by two key factors, quality and delivery. We truly believe in offering the highest level of service to our clients and candidates and aim to build deep-rooted relationships that allow us to become a genuine strategic partner.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
At Sartre, we recognise our responsibility for handling people’s career. We do not believe in a one size fits all development program, and purposely created a flexible program that can cater to an individual’s development needs and experience level.
We place a huge emphasis on consultant’s becoming true market experts that can provide genuine consultative service to clients and candidates alike. As our employees progress into more senior roles, our training is designed to reflect the actual demands of the job and make sure they conduct themselves in line with our core values.
We also have recently implemented a separate management development program with the aim to continue to raise the bar for leadership across the business.

OUR TRAINING PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO 3 KEY AREAS
SARTRE ACADEMY
This program is aimed at teaching the fundamentals of recruitment, whilst the training is particulary aimed at those new to the recruitment industry there are advanced modules for experienced consultant's that focus more on the client side. CULTURE
Whether it be a pool competition, poker nights in the office or external company nights out our Social Secretary is responsible for creating an entertaining and social environment. As well as promoting collaboration across the business, we look to engage with staff and take on board feedback to look at ways that we can continue to improve as a business.
We have a Charity Secretary who is responsible for overseeing our fundraising targets, by organising optional events as well as companywide events aimed at giving back to the local community. All staff are actively encouraged to participate and are offered flexible working to participate in charitable work.
